IPv6
Product Overview:
Tinet’s IPv6 Transit service provides customers with a next generation Internet service over a single Autonomous System (AS3257), which in just 9 years of operations has become one of the top 5 global IPv4 backbones and has a leading IPv6 worldwide network (sources: CAIDA, FixedOrbit and Renesys).
To know more…
With IPv4 address space forecast to be exhausted between late 2011 and early 2012 (source: IANA), IPv6 is starting to become vital to business continuity. Increased broadband penetration, as well as smartphones, mobility services and other Internet-enabled devices are fast consuming what is left of IPv4 so service providers not working on IPv6 migration will start to face growing levels of operational complexity. As the leading IPv6 service provider, Tinet delivers quality and efficiency to its customers with all our 120 PoPs enabled with IPv6. That makes Tinet the best-qualified choice for transition to IPv6. We only offer three services for maximum simplicity and efficiency. Our IP transit services have been created to exclusively meet the demands of high-bandwidth customers such as Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Mobile Operators, Telcos and content providers. Tinet’s network has a global footprint, extensive global peering relationships and MPLS-based traffic management to ensure the highest quality connectivity for our customers.
Tinet IPv6 SOLUTIONS:
As one of the most experienced providers of IPv6, Tinet is already providing IPv6 services to many customers, including ISPs, Telcos and academic networks, helping a number of them through the transition process. Tinet offers IPv6 in two simple options:
Native IPv6, via a physical or logical port dedicated to IPv6 transit, connecting customers directly to Tinet’s native IPv6 backbone. A useful option for customers who wish to commence their move to IPv6 in isolation from their existing IPv4 production environment.
Dual-Stack, a single interface for both IPv6 and IPv4 traffic to allow customers to access both IPv4 and IPv6 Internet routing tables over the same physical port. A useful option for customers who already operate a dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 network.
